It was renamed Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs on Januwhen the Mohegan Tribe purchased it from Penn National Gaming. Mohegan Pennsylvania was originally a racetrack named Pocono Downs Racetrack. The Mohegan Tribe says the new name is what the racino is most commonly referred to by the public.
